NEWSLETTER Issue: 3.05

DEPUTY HEAD'S VIEW
We are now well into the Spring term and hence the groups that Mr Croker, Mrs Walsh and myself teach have been up and running for some time.

With not having my own class on a full-time basis I am lucky enough to be able to teach across all year groups as needs be. Part of my teaching commitment is to teach English to a Year 2 set, and Maths and English to Year 6 sets. I can't tell you how much I am enjoying these sessions; the attitude and commitment to improve in all of the groups has been so rewarding. For some of these children they are having additional sessions, but not once have they complained about this – in fact quite the opposite. They can all clearly articulate the areas in which they are gaining more confidence and making improvements and also the areas in which they feel they need to develop further. As a school we are aiming to put the children at the centre of their learning, but already I know that our children, due to their commitment to improve and their love of learning, are well down this road. Mr Croker and Mrs Walsh fully agree with this and therefore I'd like to thank all of those children who are being supported by additional teachers for the fantastic attitude they have displayed – well done!
